Thanks to the pandemic, we're re-entering a studio era after 80 years. This will reshape agriculture for good (and worse) when humans stop saying things like "when things become normal".
i am referring to subsistence farmers as tail here. The chinese government is excersising significant pressure on conglomerates to help uplift the life of the rural poor. So pinduoduo is actively involved in promoting produce from poverty stricken regions.
Tail is more to do with the choice of doing sustainable farming practices for subsistence farmers. Thats where you get a double whammy. I am not so much familiar with the Chinese agritech scene. I have to dig deeper.
I see a lot of startups connecting the head and the tail. Some have grown new heads.
In my current understanding, they will fail, if they connect head and tail. Let's see. :)
Pinduoduo connected a very small small tail with a very small head initially and has grown both the head and tail at a shocking speed.
I don't know what's their definition of a tail. I will explore this when I dig more into Chinese Agritech scene.
